The Marriage Function of the almighty Lord Shiva and Devi Parbati is known as Sital Sasthi Yatra which is celebrated in Sambalpur & Barpali of Bargarh District  in a great & pompous way. every year Over 8 to 10 lakhs of people gather in Sambalpur to witness the Trion of spirituality, entertainment and devotion which is reflected in the festival. Undoubtedly this is one among  the longest  cultural procession in India.. The main function of Sambalpur  Sitalsasthi  is held in Nandapara, Jharuapara and Modipara in the city. Where Sital Sasthi Jatra of Barpali held at Kapileswar Temple & Himadri Nagar.
